I’ve had a really nice chilled day today, I don’t work Monday’s at the moment as I made some dealio with my Pappa that I can have Monday’s off to get my uni work done and for now it’s been allowed (shout out to my Daddy for making my life a little less stressful – woo).

So instead of me giving you a run down of my day, I thought I’d capture my day in ten photos. Here goes!

I do my Sunday’s on a Monday.

Köln – Part II

I’m still in awe of this beautiful city. As I’ve gone to write this post I’ve flicked back through all of our photos we took last week and Köln truly was incredible It is such a Théa city, that’s the only way I can describe it. I cannot believe it was only Tuesday we came back though, it feels like ages ago – time is flying too fast and I don’t like it!

Now I want to show you guys all of our other ‘non-boring’ photos as my brother nicely described our Facebook photo album. Isn’t he nice? Please be warned, some of these were taken on my phone so the quality isn’t outstanding.

Also, it may look like I wore the same outfit every day, I didn’t, just the same warm (head-turning) boots and coat during the day as I cannot cope with feeling cold, my circulation especially to my feet is dire.

As you can see I found the best wine glass in the world (vase but I immediately thought wine), we drank a hell’a’lot of beer and ate amazing German food and had loads of fun exploring together. I might be biased but I also put some pictures of Ben looking handsome in there for good measure! There’s a Lindt factory nearby (which we visited the day after the Sydney tragedy – awks) and I’m obsessed with chocolate so we couldn’t not take a look inside! We also had the richest hot chocolate ever after in their little café, plus had our own personalised chocolate made. Mmmmm they’re in our stockings ready for the biggest feasting day of the world.

Does anyone else on Christmas Day just go absolutely mental with their portions? Maybe I’m just the only gluttonous chump around here 🙂

Only FOUR days to go!

Oh and how could I forget? I actually crossed another item from my bucket list, number 49:

49) Go to a PROPER Christmas market (none of these British City wannabes)

100 Things To Make Me Smile

After being a complete write-off day for being in a foul mood yesterday, I decided after browsing a few blogs that I should make a list of things that make me happy. It really is good therapy, it cheered me up and made me realise that negative emotions are no help to anyone. It also opened my eyes to how lucky I am.

Just because I need to let this out somewhere, the reason I was in a foul mood is because my other half and I have just had an offer accepted on a house! We found out Tuesday and called our families in excitement and every except his mother were really happy for us. She didn’t congratulate us, she was point blank rude about it all. She still hasn’t apologised and it was grating on me all of yesterday. (Just to add: she still hasn’t apologised)

Fat Friday’s

The concept which I invented for the office staff where I work, where we can eat whatever we want on a Friday, often going out for a naughty lunch, someone buying chocolate or cake making. This was all well and good for about 4 weeks while I was training for my half marathon…..then I got chunks.

It’s Friday today and my office are well and truly embracing the Fat Friday. Cooked breakfasts and croissants all round…I had porridge with a bit of golden syrup – wooooah.

Alas, it may be raining and I may feel starved of my Fat Friday’s but the weekend is in sight! I managed to get my bum to the gym last night and suddenly have my urge back to get out and run, which, since doing my half in March, has been a long time coming.

So, is anyone else out there having a ‘Fat Friday’ or a ‘Boxing Day’ (see my previous post)?

My first/last boxing day consisted a little of the following:
1) Had a small lie-in
2) Snuck to McDonalds for some breakfast (an absolute treat as I never allow myself this sort of food unless hungover)
3) A glorious hot bath
4) Got changed and went shopping!
5) Ended up buying 2 casual tops, 3 ‘date’ tops, a book and a new academic diary.
6) Debated getting my conch pierced (has anyone had this done? I still haven’t had the b*****ks to do it)
7) Went and saw my cutie niece
8) Ordered a dominos with the significant other
9) Cracked open a bottle of prosecco and chilled

And do you know what? It was absolute bliss. I think everyone needs a ‘me’ day every now and again. Book yours in now!
